Made by people tired of the drawer of manuals.
HomeCanon started as a frustrated spreadsheet, then a Notion page, then an iOS reminder labeled "HVAC??". None of it stuck — because none of it knew anything about the house.
So we built the thing we wanted: open the app, see the next thing your home needs, and walk away with a record that travels with the house. Every feature has to earn its place at that one quiet maintenance moment — or it doesn't ship.
We don't sell your data. We don't track you across other apps.
Your appliances, schedules, and documents stay private to you and the household members you invite. HomeCanon ships with iOS's privacy manifest set to NSPrivacyTracking: false.
No advertising SDKs. No data brokers. Crash reports and product analytics are anonymized and you can opt out of analytics in Settings.

- Yes — Pro lets you invite household members. Everyone sees the same task list. Whoever does the work marks it done. The household owner can remove members at any time.
- No. Your data is preserved. Features above the free-tier limits (more than 3 appliances, document storage, warranty alerts, member invites) become read-only until you renew or reduce your usage to free-tier limits.
- $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year (save 37%). Both include a 7-day free trial on first sign-up.
- Through your Apple ID or Google Play account, not from inside HomeCanon. Apple and Google control subscription billing. You'll keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Yes. Both stores. One subscription works on whichever device you signed up on; Pro entitlement is tied to your HomeCanon account.
- Pro lets you create unlimited households. Manage your primary home and a rental or vacation property side-by-side; reminders fire for each independently.
- Yes. We store everything in encrypted, replicated Postgres on Supabase with daily backups. If your device is lost, sign in on a new one and everything is exactly where you left it.
- A polished PDF passport for your home — every completed task, warranty, and document — formatted for a buyer or insurer. Generate it from the app and share via a link; anyone with the link can view it for 30 days, no account required.
- No. We don't sell your personal information, and HomeCanon ships with no advertising, cross-app tracking, or data-broker SDKs — our iOS privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking: false. Product analytics are anonymous, never linked to your email, and you can switch them off in Settings → Privacy.
- Pro includes 20 AI queries per month. Each query sends a compact household snapshot (appliance names, recent task titles, upcoming due dates) to Anthropic's Claude API to answer. We never send personal notes, photos, or document contents unless you reference them directly. Anthropic doesn't train on this data.
- A weekly background job cross-references your appliance brand and model against the public CPSC recall database. When there's a match, we push an in-app notification and email — usually within a few days of the CPSC posting. Recall alerts are always free, including on the Free tier.
